Д-р Масуд Ахмади е роден през 1970 г. в Машхад. Той е доктор по сравнителни религии и мистика от Техеранския университет, като 2 години от докторантурата си прекарва в Хайделбергския университет. Бил е културен и медиен мениджър, както и автор на курсове и материали за ирански радио- и телевизионни станции. Владее персийски, английски, немски и арабски език. От началото на 2023 г. д-р Масуд Ахмади е директор на Иранския културен център в София.

De la începutul anului 2023, Dr. Masood Ahmadi este directorul centrului cultural iranian din Sofia.

Dr. Masood Ahmadi was born in 1970 in Mashhad. He is doctor of Comparative Religions and Mysticism from the University of Tehran, with 2 years of his Ph.D. spent in the Heidelberg University. He has been cultural and media manager, as well as author of courses and materials for Iranian radio and tv stations. He speaks Persian, English, German and Arabic. As of the beginning of 2023 Dr. Masood Ahmadi is the director of the Iranian cultural centre in Sofia.

Angel Orbetsov: I fully agree with the last remark. And, yes, I had the honor of participating in a video promoting the Diplomatic Institute’s library with two other people and I am extremely proud of my participation. The library has taken a very serious step towards professionalization. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the Diplomatic Institute, especially to Mrs Mihailova and her colleagues, especially Daniela Peșeva and Nikolai Krumov. Thank you very much for organising this event.
This event is very important because it is part of the 125th anniversary of the establishment of Bulgarian-Iranian diplomatic relations, which is part of my research and is described in the first chapter of the book. Today, 1897 is accepted as the year of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Iran.

Și, da, am avut onoarea de a participa la un videoclip de promovare a bibliotecii Institutului Diplomatic împreună cu alte două persoane și sunt extrem de mândru de participarea mea. Biblioteca a făcut un pas foarte serios în direcția profesionalizării. Aș dori să mulțumesc din suflet Institutului Diplomatic, în special doamnei Mihailova și colegilor săi, în special Daniela Peșeva și Nikolai Krumov. Vă mulțumesc foarte mult pentru organizarea acestui eveniment.
Acest eveniment este foarte important, deoarece face parte din aniversarea a 125 de ani de la stabilirea relațiilor diplomatice bulgaro-iraniene, care face parte din cercetarea mea și este descrisă în primul capitol al cărții. În prezent, anul 1897 este acceptat ca fiind anul stabilirii relațiilor diplomatice cu Iranul.

И да, имах честта да участвам във видеоклип за реклама на библиотеката на Дипломатическия институт заедно с още двама души и съм изключително горд от своето участие. Библиотеката е направила доста сериозна крачка по посока на професионализация. Искам да благодаря от все сърце на Дипломатическия институт, специално на госпожа Михайлова, както и на нейните колеги, най-вече на Даниела Пешева и Николай Крумов. Благодаря ви изключително много за организацията на събитието. Това събитие е много важно, защото се вписва в 125-годишнината от установяването на българо-иранските дипломатически отношения, което е част от моето изследване и е описано в първа глава на книгата. 1897 г. към момента се приема за година на установяване на дипломатическите отношения с Иран.

An event in October 2022 showed the prevalent respect for one of the individuals who are bridge of friendship between Bulgarians and Iranians

In Bulgarian-Iranian relations, and in international relations in general, there are people who play a very important role – that of a “bridge of friendship” between nations. This is a role perhaps more difficult and more important even than that of diplomats, because diplomats have their diplomatic status and move in a somewhat more protected environment. People who are bridges of friendship have no defenses and nowhere to run, they are permanently connected to both nations and feel with their own bodies every positive or negative emotion in their relationship. They are also people who often sacrifice their own emotionalism or righteousness and instead think about how to promote peace and trust in international relations. Accordingly, every turmoil in international and national relations resonate more strongly in their souls.
On October 20, 2022, Iranians in Bulgaria, Bulgarian Iranologists, friends of Iran in Sofia and representatives of the Iranian Embassy in our country gathered at the Zoo Hotel in Sofia to show their respect and appreciation for a Persian bridge of friendship – Mrs. Hajar Fiouzi. For years, her home in Sofia has been a kind of Mecca – all kinds of people who have relations to the ties between Bulgaria and Iran come there, and her modest apartment is a kind of “qeble-ye alam” (a hub of the (Bulgarian-Iranian) universe). Mrs. Fiouzi was a long-time lecturer in Persian language and other disciplines at Sofia University. Kliment Ohridski”. She is known for her numerous simultaneous translations of Iranian events in Sofia, for her translations of Bulgarian literature into Persian or Persian into Bulgarian, and for her teaching at the Iranian Cultural Center in Bulgaria. Readers of The Persian Bridge of Friendship blog have read this interview with her from the summer of 2022. They also know of her pain at the untimely loss of her extremely talented daughter, Sharare Peacock.
Ms. Fiouzi’s contribution to Bulgarian-Iranian relations was the focus of the event in Sofia. But it was also a celebration of Persian culture itself. Thanks to Nabiollah Masumi, another activist for Bulgarian-Iranian friendship, and several Bulgarians, poems by poets such as Hafez and Rumi were read, focusing on the mystical and life wisdom of the Iranians. The floor was taken by many of the guests, including His Excellency Mr. Seyed Mohammad Javad Rasouli – Iranian Ambassador to Bulgaria and Iranian Cultural Attaché Javad Amini. On the Bulgarian side, many university professors participated – such as Prof. Dr. Ivo Panov – the doyen of Iranian Studies and professor of Iranian Literature, Prof. Dr. Alexandra Kumanova from the University of Library Science and Information Technology, Snezhana Todorova – President of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists and others. The hall was almost full – with several dozen Iranians, Bulgarian Iranologists and others.
The Persian Friendship of Bridge blog received some of the speeches at the event and published them here with minimal editorial intervention (e.g. the title of each speech was chosen by the blog). They testify to the need to have more trustworthy personalities on both sides between our nations. In times of war and confrontation in international relations, the need for these individuals is even greater.

În relațiile bulgaro-iraniene și, în general, în relațiile internaționale, există oameni care joacă un rol foarte important – acela de “punte de prietenie” între națiuni. Acesta este un rol poate mai dificil și mai important chiar decât cel al diplomaților, pentru că diplomații au un statut diplomatic și se mișcă într-un mediu oarecum mai defensiv. Oamenii care sunt punți de prietenie nu au nici o apărare și nici un loc unde să fugă, ei sunt permanent conectați la ambele națiuni și simt cu propriul corp fiecare emoție pozitivă sau negativă din relația lor. Sunt, de asemenea, oameni care adesea își sacrifică propria emotivitate sau dreptate și se gândesc în schimb la modul în care pot promova pacea și încrederea în relațiile internaționale. În consecință, tulburările din relațiile internaționale și naționale rezonează mai puternic în sufletele lor.
La 20 octombrie 2022, iranienii din Bulgaria, iranologii bulgari, prietenii Iranului din Sofia și reprezentanții Ambasadei Iranului în Bulgaria s-au adunat la Hotelul Zoo din Sofia pentru a-și arăta respectul și aprecierea față de o punte persană de prietenie – doamna Hajar Fiuzi. De ani de zile, locuința ei din Sofia a fost un fel de Mecca – tot felul de oameni care au legătură cu legăturile dintre Bulgaria și Iran vin acolo, iar modestul ei apartament este un fel de “qeble-ye alam” (un centru al universului (bulgaro-iranian)).

Este cunoscută pentru numeroasele sale traduceri simultane ale evenimentelor iraniene de la Sofia, pentru traducerile din literatura bulgară în persană sau din persană în bulgară și pentru activitatea sa de predare la Centrul Cultural Iranian din Bulgaria. Sala era aproape plină – cu câteva zeci de iranieni, iranieni bulgari și alții.
Blogul Podul Persan al Prieteniei a primit o parte din discursurile de la eveniment și le-a publicat aici cu o intervenție editorială minimă (de exemplu, titlul fiecărui discurs a fost ales de blog). Ele atestă necesitatea de a avea personalități mai demne de încredere de ambele părți între națiunile noastre. În vremuri de război și de confruntare în relațiile internaționale, nevoia de aceste persoane este și mai mare.

Събитие от октомври 2022 г. показа всеобщото уважение към една от личностите, които са мост на приятелството между българи и иранци

В българо-иранските отношения, и въобще в международните отношения има хора, играещи много важна роля – тази на “мост на приятелството” между народите. Това е роля навярно по-трудна и по-важна дори от тази на дипломатите, защото дипломатите имат своят дипломатически статут и се движат в донякъде по-отбрана среда. Хората, които са мостове на приятелството нямат защити и къде да избягат, те са трайно свързани с двата народа и чувстват със собственото си тяло всяка позитивна или негативна емоция в отношенията помежду им. Те са и хора, които често принасят в жертва своята собствена емоционалност или правда и вместо това мислят как да насърчат мира и доверието в международните отношения. Съответно и смущенията в международните и националните отношения отекват по-силно в душата им.
На 20 октомври 2022 г. иранците в България, българските иранисти, приятелите на Иран в София и представители на иранското посолство у нас се събраха в хотел Zoo в София, за да покажат своето уважение и признание към един персийски мост на приятелството – госпожа Хаджар Фиюзи. От години нейният дом в София е своеобразна Мека – там идват най-различни хора, които имат отношения към връзките между България и Иран, и нейният скромен апартамент е нещо като “кебле-йе алам” (средоточие на (българо-иранската) вселена). Госпожа Фиюзи е била дългогодишен преподавател по персийски език и други дисциплини в Софийския университет “Св. Климент Охридски”. Тя е известна с множество симултанни преводи на ирански събития в София, с преводи на българска литература на персийски език или на персийска на български, с преподаването си в Иранския културен център в България. Читателите на блога “Персийският мост на приятелството” са чели това интервю с нея от лятото на 2022 г. Те знаят и за болката й от ненавременната загуба на изключително талантливата й дъщеря Шараре Пийкок.
Приносът на госпожа Фиюзи към българо-иранските отношения бе в центъра на събитието в София. Но то бе и празник на самата персийска култура. Благодарение на Набиолла Масуми – един друг активист за българо-иранско приятелство, и на няколко българи бяха прочетени стихотворения от поети като Хафез и Руми, които се фокусираха върху мистичната и житейската мъдрост на иранците. Думата взеха много от гостите, сред които Негово Превъзходителство господин Сейед Мохаммад Джавад Расули – ирански посланик в България и иранското културно аташе Джавад Амини. От българска страна участваха множество университетски преподаватели – като проф. д-р Иво Панов – доайенът на специалност “Иранистика” и преподавател по иранска литература, проф. Александра Куманова от Университета по библиотекознание и информационни технологии, Снежана Тодора – председател на Съюза на българските журналисти и други. Залата бе почти пълна – с няколко десетки иранци, български иранисти и други.
Блогът “Персийският мост на приятелството” получи някои от изказванията на събитието и ги публикува тук с минимална редакционна намеса (например заглавието на всяко изказване е избрано от блога). Те свидетелстват за нуждата между нашите народи да има повече личности, които се ползват с доверие и от двете страни. В във времена на война и конфронтацията в международните отношения, нуждата от тези хора е още по-голяма.
This text is given to the Persian Bridge of Friendship blog by Professor Alexander Fedotov’s widow – Snezhana Todorova-Fedotova. Alexander Fedotov was a Bulgarian Orientalist of Russian origin, who was a specialist in East Asia, but also in the Mongolian and Tibetan space. He also had mutual sympathy for Iranians, Indians and other Eastern nations.
Sharare Peacock – daughter of Hajjar Fiouzi, was an outstanding Iranian of many talents and achievements who died in 1999. More about her can be read here.
“You’ve stirred the marigold in my soul, you’ve turned the layers, brothers November, December, January. Wait for the snow to melt. Wait for the meat to melt. Wait, wait, wait, wait, cries my silent flesh. Smooth skin hidden in another skin, you seek me, but I am gone, locked in your pupil: gone, dissolved in air…”, so begins Shari Peacock’s novel, English as a Foreign Language. This was her first and… last published book, which managed to be praised in the English press (The Times, The Independent, Vogue) and translated into Bulgarian.
The daughter of Iranian immigrants, Shari Peacock was born in 1956 in Sofia, where she grew up, attended Russian school and studied architecture. She completed her studies in London. There she made a name for herself as an artist, taught at an art college and worked as an illustrator for several well-known magazines. She does it all with unusual ease, and her range of interests is constantly growing: languages, painting, art literature, ballet.
Shari Peacock literally blows our ideas of Iranian women out of the water: as an adult, she, the daughter of Muslims, voluntarily chooses Orthodoxy. Communicating with people, and with very different but increasingly interesting people, became for her the meaning of her whole life (I would only add that she was fluent in five languages – Bulgarian, Farsi, Russian, English and German). In order to dance in a ballet company in Hamburg, she deliberately changed her birthday by ten years. And she succeeded, because she really looked much younger than her actual age!
